MORE ABOUT Jorge Zarta

Data has always been more than numbers to me. It's the difference between a team that guesses and a team that knows. Between a decision made on instinct and one made with confidence. I've spent over 18 years making that difference real; for operations teams, marketing leaders, and executives at one of the world's most visited destinations.

My path into data wasn't traditional. It started with a passion for understanding people; what drives them, what they need, and how the right information at the right moment changes everything. That curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc. in Business Intelligence, graduating as Valedictorian, and build a career at Universal Orlando Destinations & Experiences where I turn complex operational and guest data into dashboards that actually move the needle.

Outside of Universal, I founded TAU Sports Science (@TAUMBML); a biomechanical mobile assessment service for youth athletes in Central Florida. Using data analytics and predictive modeling, TAU identifies injury risks, analyzes body composition, and develops personalized training plans. It's my proof that data doesn't just belong in boardrooms, it belongs anywhere people are trying to make better decisions for the people they care about.

I'm also deeply committed to my community. I work directly with Latino-owned small businesses in the Orlando area, helping them understand their own data, from sales patterns to customer behavior, and use it to compete smarter. Because access to great analytics shouldn't be reserved for big corporations.

At Universal, I specialize in Power BI dashboard development, Snowflake SQL data modeling, and data governance frameworks that reduce manual effort and build trust in metrics. I partner across business and IT, speaking the language of each; ensuring data flows cleanly from source system to decision-maker.

I don't just build reports. I find the story in your data and make it impossible to ignore.
